Seeing yourself as God sees you as a new creation through the finished work of Jesus
There are moments when the gospel becomes clear in a way that changes everything. You begin to see Jesus more clearly, and at the same time, you begin to see yourself differently. That clarity brings a deep confidence, and something settles in your heart in a way that is steady and real.
You begin to recognise that God has already done a complete work in you. Jesus forgave you, and He recreated you in Himself. You are now in Him, and His life is in you. This is not something you are waiting for. This has already taken place.
As this truth becomes real, what is shared in ” Abiding in Christ Brings the Life of God Through You begins to take shape in your lifeโHis life flowing through you naturally and consistently. And as your understanding grows, the pressure that once shaped your walk begins to fall away, just as explained in Escaping the Trap of Self-Effort Through Godโs Grace. You begin to live from what has already been given.
This is where the gospel becomes clear. You begin to see yourself through Godโs eyes, and that changes how you live.
What does it mean to be a New Creation in Christ?
It means you have been spiritually recreated through Jesus, with a new identity rooted in His finished work.
Is the New Creation a future promise or present reality?
It is both. You are already a New Creation now, and this reality continues to unfold in your daily life.
Why do I still struggle if I am a New Creation?
Struggles often come from unrenewed thinking. As your mind aligns with truth, your life begins to reflect who you already are.

Being a New Creation
New Creation speaks about who you are in Christ right now. Through Jesus, you have been recreated in Godโs image, made righteous, made holy, and brought into union with Him. This is your identity, and it is the foundation of your life in Christ.
When you believed the gospel, God did a complete work in you. He did not leave anything unfinished or partial. You were brought fully into Christ, and His life became your life. You are now one with Him, sharing in what He has accomplished.
โTherefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.โ (2 Corinthians 5:17, KJV)
This is how God sees you, and this is who you are. The New Creation is not something outside of you or something you are working toward. It is the truth about you in Christ, already established and already complete.
The Gospel Reveals Who You Are
The gospel reveals Jesus, and at the same time, it reveals who you are in Him. As you hear the gospel, you begin to see what Jesus accomplished and what He finished through His death and resurrection.
โFor I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believethโฆโ (Romans 1:16, KJV)
That power works through revelation. You hear who Jesus is. You hear what He has done. And in that same message, you begin to see who you are because of Him. This is how faith comes. Your heart begins to agree with what God says is true.
As your heart believes, grace begins to work in your life. The life of Jesus within you starts to be expressed outwardly. What is already true in your spirit begins to show in your daily life, not through effort, but through believing what God has already established.
Seeing Yourself Through Godโs Eyes
God sees you in Christ. That means He sees you as you truly are nowโrecreated, restored, and made like Him. His view of you is not based on your past or your performance. It is based on the finished work of Jesus.
โThou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.โ (Song of Solomon 4:7, KJV)
This is how He sees youโclean, whole, and accepted. When this becomes clear in your heart, your relationship with God becomes steady. You approach Him with confidence because you understand how He sees you.
The renewal of your mind becomes central here. As your thinking aligns with truth, your life begins to reflect what is already true in your spirit. You begin to recognise yourself as God does, and that recognition starts shaping your decisions, your responses, and your expectations.
Living from Who You Are
You are a New Creation in Christ. This is your present reality, and as you believe this, your life begins to reflect it more clearly.
โAnd be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.โ (Ephesians 4:23โ24, KJV)
That new man is who you are. This is not something you are trying to become. It is something you are learning to live from as your mind is renewed.
As you continue hearing the gospel, your heart agrees with what God says about you. This agreement releases grace, and that grace brings transformation into your life. The life of Jesus within you becomes visible in your thoughts, your responses, and your daily interactions.
The Finished Work of Jesus Established You
Jesus completed the work fully. He established you in Him, and nothing about your identity is left unfinished.
โFor by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.โ (Hebrews 10:14, KJV)
You have been perfected. You have been made holy. You have been brought into Godโs image through Christ. This is how God sees you, and this is how He relates to you.
You are His handiwork, recreated in Christ Jesus. As you continue hearing this truth, your heart believes it more deeply. And as you believe, grace works in your life. The life of Jesus becomes visible through you in a way that is real, steady, and consistent.
Expressing Who You Are in Daily Life
You carry this identity into every part of your life. Who you are in Christ shapes how you respond, how you love, and how you live in everyday situations.
As you continue to believe who you are, your life begins to reflect Jesus more clearly. His nature becomes visible through you in a way that is natural and unforced. This is the work of the Holy Spirit within you, bringing to expression what is already true.
Keep your heart anchored in truth. Speak what God says about you. Return to Scripture when your thoughts drift. Stay focused on what Jesus has done, and trust the Holy Spirit within you to lead and guide you.
Stay connected to the Word and to the body of Christ. Continue hearing the gospel that reveals who you are. If this message is speaking to you, take time this week to sit with these Scriptures again and allow them to shape how you see yourself. As you continue in the truth, you will see more of Jesus revealed through your life.
Pastoral Invitation
Let this truth settle deeply in your heart. You are a New Creation in Christ. This is who you are right now, and this is how God sees you.
Allow your mind to be renewed to what God has already done. Let His Word shape how you see yourself and how you approach your life. The Holy Spirit is already at work within you, revealing Jesus in you more clearly each day.
As you continue to believe, your life will begin to reflect what is already true. You will see yourself differently, and you will begin to live in the fullness of who you are in Christ.
