May was a special time as we worked through all thirty-one chapters of Proverbs. We took one chapter each day and shared short devotional videos across our social media platforms. These daily reflections reminded us that wisdom flows from an active relationship with God.
Wisdom must be pursued intentionally like a hidden treasure. God’s Word provides practical guidance for our everyday decisions. The Holy Spirit faithfully reveals deeper truth to those who remain teachable and open-hearted.
We explored the balance between diligence and trust throughout this series. We prepare and steward what God has given us carefully. We always remember that ultimate victory belongs to the Lord.
The Scriptures remind us of this truth: "The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the LORD." (Proverbs 21:31).

May Sermon Highlights
Jesus on Earth
Our first message explored the purpose of Jesus coming to earth. Jesus came to reveal the Father, bring abundant life, and destroy the works of the enemy. Through His life, death, and resurrection, He opened the way for us to live in a close relationship with God.
The message reminded us that spiritual growth is a process. Jesus Himself grew in wisdom and stature while walking in dependence upon the Holy Spirit. His example encourages us to embrace growth, maturity, and continual transformation.

Renewing Your Mind
This message focused on God's goodness and the importance of aligning our thoughts with His truth. We were reminded that grace is God's empowering presence and that true humility means agreeing with what God says about us.
Many believers carry limiting beliefs formed through life experiences, family influences, or past failures. Through forgiveness and renewed thinking, we can begin to see ourselves through God's eyes and live from the identity He has given us.

The Goodness of God
This sermon reminded us that God actively desires to communicate with His children. He speaks in ways that connect with each person’s unique personality and wiring.
Powerful testimonies highlighted God's faithfulness through seasons of joy, disappointment, grief, and unexpected redirection. Through every circumstance, His goodness remains constant. His plans continue unfolding even when our own plans change.

New Creation
One of the most impactful messages of the month centered on our identity as a new creation in Christ.
The cross is where new life begins. Through Jesus, believers receive a completely new identity. We are no longer defined by our failures, addictions, fears, or past experiences. Our lives are now anchored in what God declares to be true.
The message concluded with bold declarations of identity, reminding us that we are loved, chosen, holy, resilient, generous, forgiven, and inseparable from the love of God.

God Is So Good
One memorable moment during May came at the close of a Sunday service when Piet led the congregation in the simple yet powerful song, "God Is So Good."
As voices joined together throughout the sanctuary, the message of the song resonated deeply. Sometimes the most profound truths are expressed through the simplest words.
God is good when life feels easy.
God is good when life feels difficult.
God is good when prayers are answered immediately.
God is good when we are still waiting.
His goodness remains the foundation upon which we build our lives. The atmosphere of worship that morning served as a beautiful reminder of His faithfulness and His presence among us.

Anchored in Our Identity in Christ
JohnDaniel shared a powerful declaration of who God says we are.
These truths are not motivational statements. They are declarations rooted in God's Word. We are image-bearers of God. We are chosen, loved, forgiven, redeemed, holy, resilient, and secure in Christ. We are carriers of His joy, ambassadors of His Kingdom, and recipients of His grace.
When believers begin to embrace God's perspective instead of the voices of fear, failure, or accusation, transformation follows.
Our prayer is that every member of our church family continues to grow in the confidence that comes from knowing exactly who they are in Christ.

God Is So Good in Authentic Worship
A memorable moment during May came at the close of a Sunday service. Piet led the congregation in the simple yet powerful song, "God Is So Good." As voices joined together, the song's message resonated deeply. His goodness remains the firm foundation upon which we build our lives.
An unexpected power outage created a highly meaningful worship experience. Our worship team led an unplugged session focused entirely on simple praise without amplifiers or sound systems. Voices rose together, and acoustic instruments filled the room beautifully. Praise continues without interruption because His goodness never changes.

We were also blessed to host students from HDT Academy for a vibrant time of worship. HDT Academy continues to invest in practical skills, strong character, and biblical foundations. They actively help prepare people for meaningful employment and fruitful lives. God is working powerfully in the lives of people across every generation.

Reading the Word to Hear God Speak
The final session of our four-part "Read to Hear God Speak" workshop concluded in May. Scripture is a direct invitation into a living relationship with God. Reading the Bible is a profound opportunity to encounter a loving Father who desires to speak personally to His children.
Participants explored practical tools for biblical meditation, imagination, and deeper engagement with the Word. We approach Scripture with expectation, openness, and faith. Let us listen attentively for His voice and allow His truth to shape our hearts.

Church Family Updates and Gatherings
Peggy encouraged all ladies to join the women's meetings held on the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 6:00 PM. Discussions focus heavily on understanding the Holy Spirit more deeply and walking in daily relationships with Him.
We thank everyone who attended the recent corporate worship gathering. Bringing believers together across church communities creates powerful opportunities to honor Jesus. We look forward to the next combined gathering later this year at the AFM church.

The Children's Church continues to thrive each week. We remain grateful for every servant-hearted individual who contributes to the life of our church. Our giving and serving beautifully reflect the generous nature of God the Father.
Meet the Elders: John and Michelle Veitch

John shared his passion for helping people discover the goodness of God. He desires to see believers live from the revelation that they are fully loved by God. We are empowered daily to share that love with the world around us. His encouragement is simple: discover how good God is and anchor your life in His character.
Michelle spoke about the absolute importance of community, care, and encouragement. Her heart is for Fountain of Life Church to remain a place where people experience authentic relationships and encounter Jesus. She emphasized the life-changing reality of walking closely with the Holy Spirit. We must step up to help one another grow in faith.
Final Encouragement
As we reflect on May, one truth stands above every sermon and worship session. God is so good. His goodness is revealed continually in wisdom that guides us and grace that transforms us.
Wherever you find yourself today, fix your eyes entirely on Jesus. Let His goodness shape your perspective and let His Word anchor your heart. The same God who has been faithful throughout every season remains deeply faithful today.
